Awards Guidelines

AwardGuidelines (please read carefully)

  • Applications must be postmarked by October 15 annually.
  • Anyone may submit nominations. Self-nominated applications are encouraged.
  • Nominees / applicants must be ARTS SCHOOLS NETWORK members, affiliates/partners of ARTS SCHOOLS NETWORK schools, or have been associated with a ARTS SCHOOLS NETWORK school.
  • Individual schools may submit nominations /applications in each category (where appropriate), with a limit of one nomination per category.
  • Calls for nominations / applications are advertised in ARTS SCHOOLS NETWORK’s e-bulletin and on the web site.
  • All nominations / applications and supporting materials must be postmarked no later than October 15 annually. Forward all materials to:

  • All nomination / application packets must include six (6) copies of the application form and all supporting material.
  • Nominations / applications will be judged by the Awards Committee. (This may include review by a subcommittee.) The committee will be chaired by the immediate past president and consist of past presidents.
  • Awards committee members whose schools have been nominated or applied for an award must recuse themselves from the selection process.
  • Winners will be recognized at the NETWORK annual conference.
  • Judges reserve the right not to select an award winner in every category every year.
  • Awardees will be profiled in ARTS SCHOOLS NETWORK’s e-bulletin and on the web site, and press releases will be disseminated from the ARTS SCHOOLS NETWORK office to superintendents, boards of education, local news agencies, and the like.
  • Supporting documents will be a part of the official nomination/application and will not be returned.
  • All awardees receive an engraved plaque.
